Getting closer!!

Well in baby news we have finally hit 36.5 weeks!!  I had an appointment on Tuesday and my midwife said that in 4 days he would be considered full term!!  So I hope he comes soon! I am so ready to not be pregnant anymore.  At my check up I was dilated to a 1 and 50% effaced. I was measuring at 39.5 weeks (hoping that could be a good sign).  My midwife also said she didn't think I was going to make it this far. I have dropped but the baby hasn't fully placed himself in the birthing canal quite yet.  But heck we are good to go at this point.  James is goin away this weekend so I just hope that he does not come between Saturday and Monday.  I would hate to go into labor while he is gone :(  So I would love for him to come before Friday!!  I had my first shift without being able to take my medication that helped with the contractions... and it sucked!  I am glad that I am only working 2 shifts a week.  On the plus side since I have reduced my hours at work I have noticed that my swelling has almost gone away :)  We have finally picked a baby name!! But I am going to keep it a secret :)  For one thing you never know..... it could still change.  Alls I know is I am SO ready to hold my new son!!

My basket ball belly at 36.5 weeks

So last week I made James and K.C. go to JCpenny to get some family maternity pictures taken.  James was so thrilled to go!!  Ya not really, and apparently neither was K.C.  He usually does really good at getting pictures taken but for some reason he was just not having it this time.  We were able to get a few shots with him in it but not as many as I would have liked.  I would like to order the CD so I have the rights to the pictures but I have to wait until I have a coupon and money cause it is a bit spendy...  I am not sure how to get the link added to this blog but if you are my FB friend you can go to my page and scroll down and find where I added the link there or e-mail me and I can send it to you that way (coostra31@hotmail.com)

So in older Cook boy news.... Keegan turned 16 on the 17th!!  I can't believe how much he is growing up, 2 more years and he will be considered an adult... scary I know!  On Saturday James and I took the older boys to Tucanos for dinner.  It was very nice, we left K.C. with Grandpa and Grandma :)  After dinner we went to Cabela's to look at some guns.  The boys step Dad has decided to match what they have in gift cards to help them each purchase a gun, that is pretty cool of him and the boys are very excited.

So December seemed like the month of everything going wrong in our house.  But things are looking up!  The pipes seemed to always be clogging but James has seemed to fix that issue.  he did finally partially install my mud sink in the laundry room!  That is such a plus because before then we had a very small sink that we had to drain out washing machine into because of pipe issues meaning that you couldn't just start a load of clothes and walk away.. this resulted in many overflows by missing the water draining over the years.  But no more!!  The sink now can hold lots of water!!  Another issue was that our oven stopped working,  But thanks to my plee on facebook we had a friend who happened to have an old one sitting in a garage that we could barrow.  So thank you so much Barb!!  It is so nice to be able to bake cookies again!! That and other food that we couldn't before, you never realize how much you miss it till its gone!!

In K.C. news........ Well he is just growing up WAY to fast!!  I love every minute with that lil terd!  His new thing that his Dad and brothers taught him is "touch down"  his Dad had already taught him how to throw his hands up but now the have him actually saying touch down while he does it.  It is very cute, that kid loves to watch football to.  Actually that kid loves to watch just about anything.  The other night while James and I were watching the Biggest Looser was the cutes though.  At the end when the do the weigh in he got really involved in what was going on.  While they are weighing in the contestants there is this beeping sound that goes for 20-30 seconds and then their weight pops up, the contestants then all clap for the person.  Well K.C. was so taken by it that he was standing in the middle of the living room just anticipating the clapping.  He knew that when the beeping sound was done they would all clap and he would clap with them.  It was the cutest thing.  Anyway I could go on and on about him (yes very proud Momma!) but I will stop.  Below is a few updated pictures of him.
Lexus decided that she would go ahead and take a bath with K.C.  This was NOT a planned thing!

K.C. at Jump Time in Meridian for a birthday party

He loved to run down the tramps and then jump and slide down the big one at the end

K.C. and birthday girl Madi, he loved this foam block pit, he had no fear with this thing and loved it when I would throw him in.  There was also a pulley that you could go on and them let go to fall in the pit.  He saw the older kids do it and so he had to also, this kid has LITTLE fear!

Madi and K.C. going down the slide, this is where he had a bit of fear, he needed a bit of encouragement to go down. He will drop 4 feet in the air but needed a nudge to slide 10feet... go figure

He loves pushing this thing all over the house, to reach on shelves or just sit in

Explaining why he does not need to take a nap.....  He got out of his bed probably 5x this day

What an eventful month!

Well first of all I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!!

This month has been very full!  Our first Christmas party was on December 10th. This was our annual Fire/EMS party hosted by the Rowhers.  I love pot luck parties!!  Especially being pregnant!!  They always have prime rib at this one, and that is something James loves, I am not much of a fan because I like my meat well done.  Anyway, we always have a good time at this party.  We eat and then do a white elephant gift exchange.  I walked away with a for her "adult only" present, that I so kindly took off the hands of some poor young fireman that was pretty embarrassed by it :) James was able to hold onto some really cute red neck wine glasses (small mason jars hot glued to candle stick holders, they really are cute.) some mini crown royal bottles, cookies, razors, and a grinch t-shirt that says "I am a big deal".  It was a lot of fun to see what people came up with for the presents, some normal and some well not so normal. It is also fun to see peoples reactions when they open them!  I wish I would have taken some pictures, but I left me camera on the piano in another room and was not in the mood to go get it once I sat down.  It was a lot of fun but once the presents were all open I was ready to go, I had James run me home quick so that he could get back.

mini cherry and apple pies.

Our next celebration was my work Christmas party on the 17th.  This was held at the Old Spaghetti Factory in Boise.  I always enjoy this party cause we walk away with good stuff :)  A committee is formed about a month prior to the party to help plan it.  I volunteered to be on it this year....  Oh and I volunteered to get the pies for dessert, which I ended up just making mini pies because I never got around to asking a local place for them ( I know bad me, but I do like to bake).  The people on the committee will gather items that can be given away as gifts up until pretty much the night before the party.  So after we eat dinner Capt draws out names (that we wrote on a ticket) and we get to come up and choose a bag, we have no idea what is in them, most have some good stuff but some have well not so good (such as a hug from from a co-worker).  You can choose to keep the bag or take one from the "risky" table (this table had the not so good and really good stuff).  So it was pretty much a game of chance.  The cool thing is that everyone gets to participate.  James and I got a $40 gift certificate to a restaurant in Meridian, some free sandwiches at Dicks BBQ, a thing of chocolates, and something to Les Shwab (I think an alignment but can't remember).  After that they  have another drawing for some "larger" items.  I was lucky enough to have my name picked!! I got a really pretty 2ft tall bird house (a just to look at house).  After that we play another game with white elephant gifts that we all bring.  I can't remember what we all ended up with on that one, but we got some good stuff!!

After my work Christmas party (that got done at 7) James and I decided to take advantage of having a baby sitter for K.C. and we did what most couples do... we went and walked the mall :)  Ok so that's not what most people do but my choices are limited being 8 months pregnant! We  walked the entire upstairs and downstairs.  I was in search of a coming home outfit for the baby but did not find what I was looking for.  It was just nice to have some alone time with my husband without a toddler!

On December 19th we were able to go to Keegan's High School band concert.  K.C. loved the Jazz band and danced to every song.  He wouldn't sit still enough to stay in the auditorium so we had to hang out by the doors.  We were not able to stick around for all of Keegan's concert band songs, but we did get to hear a few.  Cameron's concert was the next night but I had to work and James had told my parents that he would pick them up from the airport so we had to miss that one, sorry Cam.  In other news with Keegan, he got braces!!  Kinda sucks that they put them on right before Christmas but he is surviving.

The best thing about Christmas has always been Christmas vacation!! Well when your still in school that is.  The older Cook boys have been off school since the 21st and have been at our house for most of the time.  Which is nice for me because they are such big help with their little brother and he doesn't have to go to daycare when I work.

Christmas Eve I decided to do something a little different in our house, honestly I had forgotten about the tradition that James has which was eat Pizza and watch Christmas movies.  I decided to have a nice dinner and invite my parents over.  I was going to have prime rib but my Dad had mentioned having steak instead cause he had had a lot of prime rib lately.  I ran the idea by James and he didn't mind.  So James and the boys BBQ some steaks and I made garlic mashed potatoes, buns, green bean casserole (believe it or not my first ever!), some crunchy shrimp things (that were like a wonton but open), deviled eggs (yummy!!) and my mom made a 7 layer salad.  I was going to make an apple pie but the pre done apples I had put in the freezer didn't look good after I unthawed them so I scratched that idea. My mom had made more then enough pies for her Christmas dinner so she brought over a lemon merange pie (my favorite!).  We also had some yummy sugar cookies that I got from Bountiful Basket.  I put Cameron up to the task of decorating them and he did a great job!  After our meal I let all the Cook boys open a present.  I have started a tradition of my own of getting them all pajama pants, so it's not hard to guess what will be in that gift!  The boys also go to open the family gift from my parents.  They got the game Risk.  KC got to open one of his to. It was a good night and we still ended it with watching Christmas movies.

Christmas morning was a lot of fun,  The boys got to start with there stockings. K.C. enjoyed pulling everything out.  Then they got to open up their gifts.  K.C. had a good time opening all his toys, he would play with them and then move on to the next.  James and I both got each other cooking things, he got me a toaster oven and I got him a cast iron skillet.  Keegan and Cameron made out with some gift cards and now we need to go to Cabelas so they can spend spend spend!!  James made a nice breakfast and we chilled out until it was time to go to my parents house.  Keegan and Cameron we not able to join us for that, it was time for them to spend Christmas with their Mom.

Christmas gift from Aunt Shelly, he Loves his new doggie!!

Christmas afternoon was spent at my parents house.  My Mom prepared a nice ham and mashed potatoes!  After lunch the Idaho grandkids (the other half of my parents 13 grand children live in WA) and Grandpa and Grandma got to open their gifts.  K.C. had fun playing santa with his cousins but every gift had to go to Grandpa.  It was really cute, he had a lil tiff with his cousin Ben (who is 4 months older then him) on helping Grandpa open his gifts.  Unfortunetly this was right during K.C's nap time so he wasn't willing to sit still to take a picture with his cousins with the scrafs that Grandma had made them.  It was a lot of fun and K.C. had fun playing with everyone.  It was kinda of nice to get everything done by the afternoon.  James and I went home and me and K.C. took a nap and then veged out for the rest of Christmas day.  I unfortunetly woke up that morning feeling like crap with a horrible cold (that I am still fighting)  I am sure that the boys didn't mind though, I could barely talk most of the morning :)

James has also had a very full month.  There have been some changes at the Fire Department and he is now not only in charge of the Fire side but also the EMS side to.  He recieved a new title this month to, Canyon County Chiefs Assoc President.  Congratulations honey!!  So my busy husband has just become bussier.... no surprise there.  Oh and to make 2012 even busier for himself he has decided to go back to school!  He has to change his  bachlores degree to fit into what he wants for a masters, that means he has to take more math classes and he is so excited for that!!  I know my lil college boy will do just fine.

In other baby news ........
Well one the 22nd I ended up going back into labor and delivery to get checked on.  For 2 days off and on I was having some really bad sharp pains in my abdomin and wasn't sure why, that along with some contracitons.  So after I got off work Thursday morning I headed over.  They hooked me up to the monitor and sure enough I was having some nice contractions.  They took another test and it came back negative (which is a good thing meaning no baby should come in the next 2 weeks) and well they just couldn't explaine the pains I was having, go figure.  Everything looked fine and the baby is doing good.  I was instructed to start taking my medication round the clock now until I am 36 weeks along (I am almost 34 now) instead of just as needed.  I am so ready to have this baby, it has been a very frustrating pregnancy.  I had a regular check up Friday morning and we have decided to cut back my hours to 20 now at work.  Hopefully this will help with the contractions and the swelling I have....  Cankles I have cankles!!  I was also taken off night shift and will be working swings, this means K.C. will not have to go to daycare though so that will be nice.  I was also very happy to see that I did NOT gain any weight this time!  Yeah!! I had gained way to much for my liking in the prior 4 weeks.

33-34 weeks along

In other K.C. news......
So for the last few weeks K.C. has decided to be an early riser, no matter what time he goes to bed he is up pretty much by 7am.  No more sleeping in until 8.  Most mornings  he is up aroung 6:30.  I have come home from work a few times now and he is already out of his crib.  He has aslo started to go to sleep on Daddy at night.  Which I have to say is pretty cute.  Since there is not much room on Mommy's lap I don't mind a bit.  Our lil boy is growing up way to fast!!  I can't wait for him to be a big brother,  I will defintely have my hands full then!!

I have been slacking!!

Well my last 2 baby appointments have been pretty good.  I am measuring ahead and I thought that we might find out I am further along but at my last appointment my midwife didn't mention it again, but I think that she was in a hurry to get to a meeting so I left it be.  My contractions have died down so that is nice, I am finding myself going a couple days in a row without having to take my medication!!  We still haven't chosen a baby name yet, I just cannot find one name that stands out!  K.C. was so easy to name. Baby Cook has become very active, which can be very uncomfortable for me at work.  This child really likes to stretch all the way out and give some nice strong kicks and punches. I have a pillow to sit on but the office chairs just don't come close to a nice recliner!  I have also started to retain water (fun!), so not being able to lay back and prop my feet up kinda stinks, oh and then there's that large weight gain in 2 weeks (YUCK!!)..... I think I am already passing what I gained with K.C. :(
Yes I have my belly button pierced, and no I will not take it out just because I am pregnant!  My Mom and Husband love it : ) !!  This was taken 11/30/11 at about 30 weeks along

Thanksgiving week we had the older Cook boys.  We originally had plans to go to Washington for the weekend but I could never get a firm answer on if I could get the day off so we nixed those plans.  Then I found out I had to work and then the weekend before found out that I didn't! So because of all the back and forth we decided to make our Thanksgiving plans easy and we stayed home!  It was a very nice relaxing day with just our small family.  Since our oven is still out of commission I had to go to my parents to use theirs to make a few things.  While I was there I had the boys come over and help rake up some of my parents leaves. (I helped to)  Since my parents had been gone for a few weeks they had quit a few leaves!  I made some yummy stuffing in the crock pot and James smoked some elk and a turkey breast.  Our menu was: mashed potatoes, gravy, ham, turkey, elk, buns, corn, and stuffing!  It was quite the feast!!  Oh and to finish it off was an apple pie!

The day after Thanksgiving we decided to do something fun and headed up to Riggins for the weekend.  I was in much need of a mini vacation and I think it is the last one I will get for a while! My Dad, brother and nephew decided to head up to for a night to try out some fishing with us.  My plan was to stay in the hotel and do nothing but relax and go to the pool!  The boys had a decent time fishing, it was a bit cold and windy and they didn't come home with any fish, but it was still a good time.  KC had a great time in the pool ( I think the older boys did to).  That kid is like a fish!  He also liked our walks down to the river, but we couldn't stay long, he always wanted to get in the water!  The only down fall was that for some reason for a week straight he was "getting sick" at least once a day.  Not sure what caused that but it was not fun, especially when he did it at the burger place in Riggins, we had just sat down, that night we got our food to go.  Oh the joys of parenthood!  I am just glad that he did not get sick on the drive up there and back.  He was one happy guy to be home though!  It was a nice mini vacation but I think next time James and I go alone and leave the kid with Grandpa and Grandma!!

So now that Thanksgiving is over it's time to move on to CHRISTMAS!!! My favorite part about Christmas is putting out my decorations and decorating the tree!  I love Christmas trees!!  There is something about them that is very soothing to me. I remember as a lil girl staying awake way past when everyone else went to bed and laying on the heater vent next to the tree and coloring or watching tv, that was such simpler times.  The last 2-3 years James and I have not had a real tree but his year we made sure to get one early! And oh my gosh it smells so good!!  K.C. is doing pretty good with it, he has only broken 1 bulb (when I was in the kitchen cooking).  I have decided to not put any presents under it until Christmas morning, I just don't trust him with those! I am happy to say that I pretty much have all my shopping done!  I may pick up a few more things for KC here and there but that's it.  I have decided to put together boxes of goodies for friends and family, yesterday I spent most my day in the kitchen getting things done.  I still have a few more things I would like to make.  James and I have our first Christmas party this weekend, I am looking forward to it!

So K.C. has become the lil climber!  He likes to push a toy up to things and see what he can get.  He has had a few crashes but nothing major.  Below is a picture of him stuck on the book case.  I am the mean Mommy who had to take a picture before helping him down.  As you can see in the picture he is crying/screaming a bit, I just thought it was funny :)

Below are some more pictures from Riggins and Christmas stuff
The entertainment center, I put out the village but all the people had to stay in the box this year, that would have been way to tempting for KC

I shall call this "sick week"

Well with band competitions over we have been able to start having the "older" Cook boys more often!  It has been such a blessing to, they are so good with their little brother.  Since they had the day off school Monday we were able to have them from Saturday until Monday.  And it was a good thing to!  Sunday I woke up (well crawled out of bed around 10:30) not feeling that great.  Which with this pregnancy isn't that odd.  I didn't necessarily feel sick just drained; my "tummy" never seems to feel to right with the lovely contractions I get to have (yes they are still here and not wanting to go away).  James made his usual weekend breakfast for us, I love the potatoes he makes, but I just wasn't in the mood to eat.  So I decided when K.C. went down for a nap that I would to.  Well it ended up I had the dang flu! I don't think I have had it since I was like 14!  I never got "morning sickness" with K.C. or this lil guy so this really sucked! It didn't last that long though and by that evening the flu part of not feeling good went away, all thanks to the fact K.C. was kept busy by his Daddy and bro's.  He did occasionally have to come in to give me some loves though.  Finally around 11:30 I felt good enough to eat, nothing like a few crackers and an apple :). James told me I better eat and drink more water, but nothing really sounded good so I didn't.  But around that same time my "tummy" started to ache but not stomach flu ache, this just felt different, so I went ahead and took my medication for contractions in hopes that it would just go away.  James decided to sleep in another room cause he did not want to catch whatever I had, I didn't mind I knew I would probably be doing a lot of tossing and turning anyway.  I really felt like I should go in and get checked but didn't want to feel like I was over reacting. So I decided to wait the hour I was told to and see if the contractions would go away.  I went ahead and took a bath and tried to get some sleep.  I woke up still feeling contractions around 2 and did some more tossing and turning.  The contractions were not getting any better and for the first time they actually felt like real labor contractions.  I finally called the labor and deliver and told them what was going on, I wasn't sure if what I was feeling may have just been a result of being sick that day.  They told me to go ahead and come in to make sure that everything was all right.  So, not really wanting to, I went and woke up James to have him take me in (this was about 3:40am ish).  The nice thing is we had the boys so we didn't have to worry about what to do with K.C. (especially nice since my parents think they have to go to WA to visit with other family for the whole month..... who do they think they are anyway! :) )
So we get to labor and delivery and they get me all hooked up to the monitors and sure enough I am contracting pretty regularly. (I forgot to add that the pills I took at midnight were my last ones! another reason I felt the need to go in). The doctor comes in and decides to run a bunch of test to find out what is going on.  He does another fetal fibronectin test, a strep B test, and checks my cervix.  My cervix doesn't appear to have changed since the last time I was in (10 days prior), it is still soft and opened a finger tip wide (which is something you like to hear more along 36 weeks and not 26 weeks) and appears to not have gotten "shorter".  So that was good news.  While waiting on the other test I get to have a lovely IV, yeah!  (ya... not!!) Since I hadn't really eaten anything in the last 24 hours my sugar was low and I was a bit dehydrated.  So I got to have a liter of Dextrose 5 and a liter of normal saline.  I now know why and appreciate that our local ambulance keeps all their bags of fluid on a warmer.  The fluid was so cold and from my elbow down my arm was achy and cold.  The doctor also gave me 20 more milligrams of the nifedipine.  He let me know that getting some sugar and fluid back into me along with the medication should ease the contractions.  He was right!  While waiting for the test results I was finally starting to fall asleep.   And after what felt like forever waiting for the test he finally came in and said that everything came back negative, YEAH!!  So we know that there should be no baby for yet another 2 weeks!  So after being in the hospital for yet another 4 or 5 hours of this pregnancy we were able to go home.  On the way home I made sure to make James stop at the pharmacy to pick up my prescription that had been sitting there for.. oh just a few days :)  The pour guy still had to do a full day of work!  I on the other had been able to go back to bed until 1 when the boys had to go home.  I am so glad that my step sons are such a big help when it comes to helping out with K.C.

Almost 28 weeks!

Early Tuesday morning I get a text from my babysitter saying her whole family was sick!!  That was a panic!  With my parents in WA we really don't have anyone else to watch him on short notice.  But James did some thinking and called a friend whoes wife runs a daycare in Homedale.  But her rates are good and we both have to be at work so Homedale it was!  It was kinda scary cause this was his first time K.C. had to go to a "daycare".  I got to go pick him up after work and found out that he had a great day!  He even made himself a friend.  He had to go on Wednesday to and yet again he did great.  I was so thankful that he had some where to go.  With me on reduced hours I really can't take off any more time at work, and James is always busy!

Well poor Keegan was another victim of the flu :(  not sure if Cameron ever got it.  We think that K.C. may have had a touch of it, he had some bad diapers over the weekend and ended up with a lil rash but for the most part he was pretty good.  And then my poor hubby ended up not feeling well on Wednesday evening.  He didn't end up getting the stomach flu like the rest of us though, lucky guy!!  I hope that this is the end of the flu for our family though!!

So I think it is time to start potty training K.C.  He has decided to become a stripper!  The other morning James went in to get him out of bed and he was butt naked!  Oh and he decided to go #2 in his crib for Daddy.  It was really hard not to laugh at this and be thankful I was at work :)  He has also pulled this lil prank for the babysitter to, but not the #2 thing just #1 in his playpen.  He thinks it is funny to take his pants off and then his diaper at home to.  I have been starting to ask him if he has to go potty and then taking him to the bathroom so he can sit on the toilette but he has yet to actually "go".  The cutest thing was what I got to see this morning when I went into his room to get ready for work and kiss him goodbye.  There it was this cut lil "full moon" sticking straight up in the air.  Not sure when during the night he decided to sleep in his "birthday suit".  But I ended up having to wake him up so that I could change all his sheets and blankets and of course put clothes back on him so he could get some more sleep in a dry bed.  But it really was so cute.... I had to take pictures :)  He is going to love me when he gets older!!!  But oh how I LOVE all my "mommy moments"
Oh and Mommy thought that she would go ahead and trim K.C.'s hair....  Well James at one time mentioned using the clippers.....  well that wasn't the best idea, the first thing I used wasn't even cutting his hair so I went with a shorter thing on the clippers... ya BAD idea, bye bye to all ok K.C.'s locks :(

Another check up today ended in labor and delivery......

Well I had another routine check up today.  It started out pretty good, other then the fact that my contractions have not let up.  It was decided that we would go ahead and up the dose on my medication and bring me down to 30 hours a week at work instead of 40. My belly is still measuring bigger, (I will take that as a good thing). Then she decided to check me to see what my cervix was up to.  Well, it has started to soften so she sent me over to labor and delivery to get my cervix measured.  At this point there was talk about possibly starting steroid shots to start to prepare the baby for a possible early delivery, oh and no more work.
So I got to go and sit in that cold delivery room (that you don't notice is so cold when you are IN labor) they hooked me up to be monitored.  Contractions where still there, baby still doing good and being very active.  The did a cervical ultra sound to measure my cervix and good news!!! My cervix is at a good length. So no chance of an early delivery in the next 2-3 weeks :)  My cervix may be soft but since it is at a good length there isn't a need to start the steroid shots yet.
So for now I am still good to be at work but only at 30 hours a week.  I just continue to ask for all your prayers.  I would like it if when it's time for this little guy to come that when I get to go home from the hospital he will be able to come with me. I wish this could be a simple pregnancy (like it was with K.C.) but that doesn't seem to be an option.  I can't control what my body decides to do but I can control my attitude.  So I will continue to be hopeful and positive, things really could be much worse.  God is in control!!

Busy month!

Well the Cook family has had a busy last 2 weeks......

Before all my issues came up we were able to go and see Keegan's last marching band competition of the year at BSU.  Schools from all around were there.  The Weiser band ended up placing first in there division!! Congrats to Keegan and the band.  Keegan looked like a marching pro!  Keegan was also able to get his deer the last day of the season, unfortunately Cameron didn't get his.

James was lucky enough to take a couple days to go fishing with his dad Flip. They met up with our neighbor who runs a fishing guide business.  They had a great time.  James was able to land 2, he lost a few more plus some gear.  He was nice enough to bring my Dad one of the fish.  Dad said the fish tasted great!!

Well I have made it to 25 weeks!!  Only 15 more to go.....   The contractions are still here though.  Somedays are better then others.  It doesn't take much for me to get tuckered out.  The pills have pretty much been doing there job. I almost went a whole day with out taking one, but by the end of the night I started to feel them enough to take a pill. I haven't felt the need to go back into the hospital so that is good.  There is still the possibility that they could turn into pre term labor. They could just go away or I could deal with them for the next 15 weeks.   I enjoyed being at home and got lots of sleep, sometimes up to14 hours in a day.  I am back to work now and pray that things will all be fine and the contractions wont flair up.

25 weeks
In other baby news my sister Kristy and her husband Darrin welcomed a baby boy early Saturday morning!!  Trenton Daniel Longoria.  My sister was in labor for a whole 2 hours!!  They had a nice home birth.  How freakin lucky is she?!!

Well K.C. has been keeping me pretty busy.  The other day I went into his room to get him from his nap and he was standing there buck naked!!  He pointed to his blanket and said "wet, peed"  yup sure enough there was a big wet spot.  But the diaper and nighty he decided to take of were perfectly dry. I guess I should consider myself lucky that is all that he did in his crib.
So this year instead of carving pumpkins I let K.C. paint one.  Letting him paint is always fun.  I have no problem with letting him make a mess!  he actually did pretty good though.
I decided to get creative with a pumpkin this year to and made an all from scratch pumpkin pie.  The crust came out pretty good.  The pie did to but since it was made straight from the pumpkin it was a bit grainy for me.  I think next time I make one I will try to puree it a bit more and see what else I can do to make it more smooth.  But it didn't go to waist!!  I also roasted the seeds!  That is my favorite part of Halloween.  I love fresh pumpkin seeds!
For Halloween we went to the trunk or treat held at the Parma MotorVu.  K.C. was dressed up as a BSU bronco mascot.  I waited to long and our choices were a bit limited.  But he was still cute!!  He did pretty good, he wasn't to sure of holding his bag but once he realised that they were putting candy in it he was not letting go!

On other baby news I was able to find the swing I wanted on craigslist for cheap!!  K.C. decided that he would test it out for his brother.  Now all I really need for the baby is some more clothes.  With what I have got and some hand me downs from my sister in law it looks like he will be good for NB and 0-3 months.  I would like to get some cloth diapers for the boys to use while I am home.  So if anyone was wanting to get us a baby gift that would work :)  Other then that I see my midwife again on Friday!

Oh and K.C. got a new pet!!!  He got 4 lil gold fishies!  And loves them a lot, his favorite thing to do is feed them.
